Hugh Michael Jackman (born 12 October 1968) is an Emmy Award- and Tony Award-winning Australian actor of film, musical theatre, and television. An acclaimed singer, dancer, and actor in stage musicals, Jackman is known internationally mostly for his starring roles in several major films, including action/superhero roles and films, period roles, and romance roles. Some of his well-known films include the X-Men series, Kate & Leopold, The Prestige, and Australia.
